The group's story

In their own words

Noudin Rasan paints from a small modest studio in the kasbah district of the old medina of Marrakech. His paintings depict all aspects of Moroccan life, often comically so, ranging from marriage, cooking, and even the occasional circumcision. He often paints on wood panels. The wood panels are traditionally used to teach children how to read, write and memorize versus from the Quran. This aspect only adds additional cultural depth to his pieces. Outside of depictions of life in Morocco, Nourdin paints patterns of bright, vibrant colors rooted in visions from across Morocco.
