Association Tifri is located in the Ait Attou village that is 86KM away from the town of Taznakht, a town that is known for craft and handmade rugs. But unfortunately Taznakht is also known for artisna exploitation. Most Taznakht artisans make less than 1 USD/day. Through Association Tifri and their Anou store, the artisans of Ait Attou are hoping to access the market directly to be able to keep most of the added value of their product. This artisan group is made of 8 artisans from different families but from the same village.

Habiba is born in Ait Attou in 1971. She is a widow and she is the mother of 4 children. She learned weaving from her mother at a young age. She is an artisan rug weaver and her hobby is cooking.

Ait Sidi Hmou Mina

Mina is born in 1964 in Timjijt. She is married and she has 3 children. She learned the traditional rug weaving craft at a very young age

Zahra Ait Khomoss

Houra Ait Zakhmas is a married traditional artisan and a mother of five children. She never had the opportunity to attend school and learned weaving from her mother at an early age. She has 15 years of experience in rug weaving and joined the cooperative with the aim of improving her living conditions and providing a stable income for herself and her family. She also aspires to market her products nationally and internationally.
