Her journey with the craft began at the age of seven, when she learned the skills and traditions of weaving from her mother and sisters. Since then, weaving has become an important part of her life, carrying forward skills and knowledge passed down through generations of her family.

Fatima Ait Bihid is a widow and mother of two children. She learned the art of rug weaving from her mother at the age of seven and has over 40 years of experience in this traditional craft. After attending school for only two years, she dedicated herself to weaving full-time, making it an important part of her life and livelihood.
