The Beni Ourain is a simple yet chic traditional moroccan rug. While Timdokkals is not physically located in the areas where the Beni Ourain tribe used to exist, many women have lineage to the area and moved to Ait Bouguemez after marrying.

MEET THE MAKERS
Fatima Oulkadi
Fatima was born in the village of Agouti in the 1980βs. She studied until middle school but unfortunately had to drop out when she became ill. Later, Fatima became a teacher at a locally run pre-school where she teaches all the children in the village of Agouti how to read and write. Fatima learned how to weave from her mom in her home growing up and specializes in making pile knot rugs. Due to her skill, she quickly joined Association Timdokkals as soon as it was established. She uses the money she earns from the association to buy everyday items. She hopes that her and her associationβs rugs become well known throughout the world.
