Cooperative Tisseuses is most well known for their hanbel rugs. While hanbel rugs are commonly found through the Middle Atlas mountains, the contemporary design found on most are large said to have started in Ain Leuh. Regardless of the origin of these rugs, they still set the trends in the wider weaving community. The symbols on these rugs reflect different criteria of Amazigh women such as courage which is represented by the lion eyes.
Naima was born in the near by town of Souq El Hd and moved to Ain Leuh when she married her husband. Today, her and husband have two girls who are currently enrolled in school. Naima joined the cooperative nearly 10 years ago and her hobby has always been weaving since she learned from her neighbor. After she finish all of the housework for the day, she heads over to the cooperative to earn income to build a loving home for her family.
