Naima Outeglaout

Naima Outeglaout is the youngest woman in Numedia Tabudrart Coop. She was born on October 10, 1995 in Imelghass, one of the villages in Ait Bouguemez (“the happy valley”) of the High Atlas. Today, Naima still lives in the same village with her husband and their child. She learned about the weaving through her eldest sister after her mother had passed away. Thanks to other old women in the cooperative, she can learn more about the world of rugs and improve her weaving style .

Fatima Ahzmad

Fatima Ahzmad was born on April 4, 1970 in Figuig. After her father’s retirement, she moved back to her home village of Ikhef nighir, a village in Ait Bouguemez (“the happy valley”) of the High Atlas. After returning home, she married, and now has two daughters and two sons. Her love for weaving started when she was a teenager thanks to her mother who helped her learn about making rugs.
