Fatima as a Qsar Muoy native. She never completed school but has been a regular in the literacy classes provided by a local association. She uses her income to support her husband and four sons.
Naima was born in the town of Oued Ifrane and moved to Qsar Muoy in the 1980’s when she married her husband. She is the sister of Mustapha Chaouai, one of the artisan leaders of Anou.
Halima was born in Qsar Muoy and has never married. While she did not finish school, she still attends literacy classes provided by a local association. She hopes that through the association she will be able to learn how to use technology and improve the marketing of her association.
Rabha has been a member of the association since it was first founded. She hopes that through her work the association will not only be able to increase sales, but also bring more tourists to her village.
Pile knot rugs are plush and warm rugs commonly woven in Muoy and often contain traditional symbols unique to the surrounding region.
