Pile rugs (tazrbit) are the most common rug in the village of Imghlaus. These rugs plush and warm, and can be found in almost every home in the Ait Bougamez valley.
Malika was born in Amlghas, and is now married. She learned carpet weaving when she was a child from her mom.
Malika Aajijin
Malika was born in 1986. She is married with two kids. Fatima lives in Amghles Village where she learned how to weave from her mom, which is the main activity for women in that region. She joined the association in order to support her family.

Imelghas Women's Cooperative hosts visitors in their village — share tea, watch the artisans at work, and see the craft up close. Visits start at $17 per person, and most of it goes straight to the group.
