A pile-knot rug intricately designed and used as a reversible rug. There is a summer side, where the pile side is placed face down on the ground to keep things cooler. In winter, the pile side is placed facing up to provide warmth. Depending on the size of the rug, it can take several weeks to complete. Each knot is tied and cut individually, so one person can produce only about one meter per week.
