Aicha Meskour is one of the first women who joined Numedia Tabudrart Coop. She was born in 1949 and grew up in the village of Iskatafen. There she lived with her mother, who taught Aicha to love weaving and make several different types of rugs. Aicha married in 2000 and lives with her husband after her only daughter has married and has a family of her own. Joining the coop enables Aicha to reach different parts of the world thanks to the rugs she can make with her own hands.
Fatima Imharken was born in 1971 in Ikhef Nighir, a village in Ait Bouguemez (“the happy valley”) of the High Atlas. After getting married, she moved to another village in the valley called Imelghass, where she lives with her husband and four children. When she was young, her mother provided her with the chance to discover the world of rug making. Being illiterate didn't stop her from learning something useful, especially after she decided to learn about making rugs from her mother and grandmother. Their knowledge was a book for her, where she learned a lot. In the beginning of 2019, Khira and other women founded Numedia Taburart Coop in order to show the world their rugs.
