MEET THE MAKERS
Brahim El Mansouri
Brahim is the president of Association Ighrem and has been working at the woodshop for over 10 years. In addition to carving, Brahim has worked extensively with artists and artisans throughout Morocco by organizing trainings on Excel, internet and other computer skills. Because of his ability to work with artists and artisans of all backgrounds, Brahim has become the director of Anou in Morocco and leads all the artisan trainings. Brahim is married and has two daughters, Raja and Yasmina. and safae
VISIT THE VILLAGE
Association Ighrem hosts visitors in their village — share tea, watch the artisans at work, and see the craft up close. Visits start at $17 per person, and most of it goes straight to the group.
