Cooperative Tisseuses is most well known for their hanbel rugs. While hanbel rugs are commonly found through the Middle Atlas mountains, the contemporary design found on most are large said to have started in Ain Leuh. Regardless of the origin of these rugs, they still set the trends in the wider weaving community. The symbols on these rugs reflect different criteria of Amazigh women such as courage which is represented by the lion eyes.
Hayat joined the Ain Leuh Cooperative in 2001. Though she was unable to finish school, she has used the opportunity to continue learning. She credits the cooperative for giving her experience in marketing, dealing with customers, and of course, traveling to many craft fairs across the country. She now specializes in making the cooperatives pile knot rugs and hanbel rugs.
