KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT
Thick-pile wool rugs from the Middle Atlas, traditionally ivory with charcoal geometric lines. The wool comes from highland sheep and the pile is deep — these are the rugs that made Moroccan minimalism famous.
From the High Atlas region of Azilal: a wool pile on a cotton or wool foundation, freer and more colorful than Beni Ourain, often with abstract symbols each weaver improvises herself.
Rag rugs woven from recycled textile scraps — wildly colorful, dense, and durable. Every boucherouite is genuinely unrepeatable, and they are among the most affordable ways to own real Moroccan weaving.
Handwoven wool and cotton throws from the Middle Atlas, traditionally made for weddings and decorated with rows of metal sequins. Used today as bed throws and wall pieces as often as on floors.
Pileless woven rugs — lighter, reversible, and crisp in pattern. Good for layering, low-clearance doorways, and warm climates.
From the Ouarzazate region: finely knotted rugs with saturated saffron, red, and orange grounds and intricate Amazigh motifs, woven by some of Morocco's most technically skilled weavers.

Anou is building the best craft supply chain in Morocco, and it begins at the AWSco mill in Aït Bouguemez, where artisans hand-sort highland wool and spin it at a zero-carbon mill staffed by weavers from across the country.
