Zahra Kubrashen is a Tadula Zanfi native as is her husband, who works as a day laborer. Together they have three boys and three girls. The eldest son is married and the rest of the sons work as day laborers like their father. Two of her daughters continue to live with her at her home. Zahra never finished school because she became ill. Later, she joined an association where she was able to gain skills managing livestock and chickens and earned income from that. She hopes that through her sales she will be able to build a bigger house for herself and her family.
The designs made by the association are rooted in the long weaving history of the region. Many of these rugs, known as Taznakht rugs, are made distinct by bright reds and yellows, colors that represent the landscape in which the rugs were made.
