MEET THE MAKERS

Handmade by 1 member of Association Zawia Oued Ifrane

Aicha Omas

Many years ago, a man named Mohamed was working in the near by town of Khenifra when he saw a women’s picture on the wall and immediately fell in love. He searched throughout the city until he found the woman in the photo and asked her to marry him. That woman was Aicha Omas. Today, Aicha and Mohammed now have a family of four boys. Their oldest son works at a hospital in a near by city, while the other children are all still finishing school. Through the sales of her carpets, she hopes that she can build a bigger house for her sons in the future so that they always have a place to call home in Zaouia.
