Per family tradition, all Bougueddach kids must attend and finish school. However, they must also go to the workshop so that they have a profession to fall back on just in case. After Mohamed finished school, he decided to return to the workshop to carry on the work on his ancestors.
Mohammad Al Afassi
Mohammad was born in Fez in 1946, and is married. He is the father to seven children, two of whom know the craft of sewing.
He used to only focus on sewing, but now as a member of the cooperative he creates larger fabric pieces such as scarves.
