Each bag is meticulously hand stitched together using handwoven rugs woven by members of the association. These bags are incredibly durable as they are made out of tightly woven Moroccan rug material.

MEET THE MAKERS
Fatima Ait Ihya
Fatima was born in Aguim and moved to the Ouarzazate region when she married. Today, her and her husband have five children. Fatima specializes in all the types of rugs the association makes.
VISIT THE VILLAGE
Association Afous Gafous hosts visitors in their village — share tea, watch the artisans at work, and see the craft up close. Visits start at $21 per person, and most of it goes straight to the group.
