Tabikias are 100% natural baskets and plates. They are primarily used in the region for carrying and storing bread or making the village's favorite dish, cous cous. While the cooperative makes Tabkias, they are not traditionally from Beni Moussi, but rather from another town not so far away.

Naima Chakiri

Naima Chakiri

Naima was born in 1976 in Ksar Gaouz, which is a small village just outside of Beni Moussi. She is the current treasurer of The Cooperative Zohour Development of Women and can often be found mentoring young girls in weaving, passing along the skills she learned for her mother. Naima is one of the few educated women of the cooperative, she attended the Dar Al Quran, which is an educational institution that promotes cultural and religious aspects in Moroccan society. She hopes to improve the quality of the local production through training and practice, and also by conducting research about sites related to traditional crafts.
