Mena Adad was born in the 80’s and is originally from Tadula Zanfi. She has been a member of the association since the first month that the association opened. She learned how to weave from her mom as weaving is an important activity, alongside housework, for the women of the region. Mena also does some embroidery and crochet within the association. With these craft skills, she hopes that she can improve her income and develop her craft further so her products are marketable globally.
The designs made by the association are rooted in the long weaving history of the region. Many of these rugs, known as Taznakht rugs, are made distinct by bright reds and yellows, colors that represent the landscape in which the rugs were made.
