The group's story
In their own words
The town of Tasiltant, in the outskirts of Marrakech, is famous for its agriculture, especially its olive trees farming. Mohamad Anas own a workshop in the town square, Dawar Koko, in Tasiltant. The name Dawar Koko comes from the time of the french colonialists, whose leader was named Dawar Koko. When the french left and Morocco gained its independence, the name of the frenchman stayed.

Mohammed Anas
Mohammad was born in 1974, is married and is the father of three. Mohammad has never attended school, as there was no transpiration from his village to the closest school. He moved to Tasiltant and at first was only working in agriculture, but then met a local artisan and learned the craft of toy making. Now he works from his house sewing and creating new products to be sold in the souk, the local marketplace. He has been frustrated with the middlemen and how they have exploited him. He wants to be able to sell directly to costumers.
