Fatima is a mother of two kids. One is working and the other is still in middle school. She loves to weave since she was a child. She joined the cooperative to practice her passion and also support her family. She likes to travel but now she is committed to her work in the cooperative. She hopes to have a business of her own in the future.
Handiras are traditionally worn by women on their wedding nights. Handiras are traditionally thick white and off white colors. Ain Leuh takes a unique approach in weaving handiras as they blend designs and colors common throughout their signature rugs. Further, the level of knotting and detail on their handiras is much more fine than traditional handiras.
