The vision of The Anou Cooperative is to ensure that it is fully artisan owned and managed so that all wealth that the artisan community creates firmly stays within artisan hands. While Anou has been successful in creating an artisan owned and largely artisan community, there is still more work required to change how Morocco’s craft economy works.

If Anou is to realize it’s vision, artisans must successfully compete against those who claim to help them. As such, The Anou Cooperative is seeking fill full-time positions with highly skilled individuals who are not just committed to the future of Moroccan craft, but those who are also committed to mentoring and enabling artisans themselves create that future. ABOUT ANOU'S POSITIONS

Anou’s positions are not traditional jobs. Due to our artisan managed and owned structure, we hire full-time roles to support the growth of our artisan team (who have limited traditional education) to ensure that artisans themselves can fully manage the evolving operations and growth of the Anou Cooperative.

Each person we hire must be willing and able to work behind the scenes and through the artisan team to achieve the wider objectives of the Anou Cooperative. An example of this is not the role of any position to do work for artisans, but to lead troubleshooting in areas the artisan team is unfamiliar with, then test and iterate solutions, and finally, work with the team to scale out such solutions.
