Elmaki is the youngest member in the cooperative. Born in 1981, he is the nephew of Hmani kassimi, another member of the cooperative. He was taught the craft by his father and uncle. He left middle school due to an accident, and an injury in the head caused his loss of hearing and speech. Slowly, he is regaining his ability to speak, and therefore, he's working hard to be able to pay his medical fees and purchase a hearing aid.
