Abdellatif Naim was born in Fes in 1976, he is married and father of two. He dropped out of school at a very young age after the death of his father. As the only male of the family he started working at a shoe factory to support his mother and sisters. Later he worked in two other factories making leather bags. With the experience he gained he finally decided to start a cooperative to improve his work opportunities as well as living conditions. Abdellatif has also taught himself how to use fabric and serigraphy in leather working.
