Mina was born in 1988 in douar Askour, like many girls of the region she wasn’t able to pursue her studies after primary school because the closest middle school was 10km away. She then learned weaving from her mother and later married a man of the region. Mina joined the cooperative in order to financially help her family in addition to her work in the fields. She hopes that their cooperative will do better than it is doing now and will be successful enough to enable the weavers to only focus on their craft.
