Born in 1976 in Tazoult, a small village in the Anti Atlas Moutains in South Morocco belonging to the Ait Ouagerda tribe, Fatima moved to N’kob, a village in Ouarzazate province when she got married. Her husband is a shepherd and they have been blessed with 3 sons and a daughter. She is a member of the Timnay association where she is recognised to be the best weaver. She is especially known for the quality of her carpets. She really wishes that the association will prosper so that she can improve her living standards.

Pile knot rugs (Zrbyia) are one of the standard rugs in Morocco. Traditionally, they are used as seating in Moroccan homes to suppress the cold in the winter. Sometimes, they are used as blankets. Pile knots from the region are generally known for their black, reds and orange colors and intricate designs.
