Handmade by the Following Members of Atelier Idnaror
Mohamed Idnaror was born in 1990 in the village of Anzi. He studied until 7th grade and dropped out in 2006 due to his parents limited income and the long distance he had to walk to get to school. At 13 he started learning the craft from his father and kept working with him to this day. He wishes to develop the craft that has been passed on to him. He enjoys playing football (soccer) regularly with his friends and traveling to visit family especially during holidays.
Salah Idnaror was born in 1978, he dropped out in primary school due to his family's financial struggles. He then moved to Casablanca where he worked as an apprentice at a potter's workshop for five years. After which he returned to his hometown where he continued working the craft with his father. Salah is now married and father of three kids, he works with his brother Mohammed and their father in the family's workshop. All the pottery making tools used are manual, they take time and a lot of effort to use and limit the production capacity, Salah wishes that one day they'll be able to afford some electric or semi electric tools to help them improve their products and production. This way he can also teach his kids some basics of the craft. Besides work, Salah has one day off per week, Sunday, when he goes to the weekly farmer's market and spends more time with his family and friends.
